Please check with your doctor to insure your student has all immunizations that are required for their age and that their Immunization certificate is in date prior to school starting. Your student will be not allowed to get their class schedule/enter school without meeting these requirements.
The State of Alabama School Law requires all students entering public or private school in the State of Alabama to present an up-to-date Alabama Certificate of Immunization (Blue Card), an Alabama Certificate of Religious Exemption, or an Alabama Certificate of Medical Exemption for certain vaccine-preventable diseases before entering school at any grade level. All Certificate of Immunization cards must contain the dates and vaccine type of all vaccines given and have a current expiration date.
Students will not be allowed to get their class schedule if vaccines are not up to date, or if the blue card is expired.
